Converting waste to energy through the MaxWest gasification system leaves only residual ash and produces better emissions profile than conventional combustion generating systems. With regard to greenhouse gas emissions, the MaxWest system has an excellent profile:

• On-site conversion of waste reduces “green house gas” (GHG) emissions from truck transportation
• On-site system may be used to oxidize methane at the treatment plant
• Reduces methane emissions from landfill and land application
